Kanishak Kataria has topped the IAS exam 2018. After Tina Dabi, who topped the IAS exam in 2016, Kanishak became the 2nd IAS topper from SC category.

Akshat Jain and Junaid Ahmad are the second and third toppers respectively.

Although UPSC had declared 782 vacancies in the 2018 IAS exam notification, however, it selected only 759 candidates in the final merit list. As you might be aware that the number of vacancies in the civil services exam is on a downward slope for the past few years.
