Civil Services Preliminary 2018 Result Announced by UPSC

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on 14th July announced the results for the 2018 Civil Services Preliminary examination held on 3rd June 2018.

10468 candidates have cleared the Prelims 2018 examination and are eligible to apply for the Civil Services Mains (CSM) examination to be held from 28.09.2018.

All the qualified candidates will have to fill the ONLINE Detailed Application Form (DAF) on UPSC’s website from 23.07.2018 to 06.08.2018 till 6.00 P.M.

The detailed result is available here.

As you are aware that UPSC had notified there are 782 vacancies in IAS exam 2018. And we know that as a rule of thumb 13 times the number of vacancies clear the civil services prelims (CSP), which is approximately 10166 candidates. And 10468 candidates have actually qualified the Prelims 2018, so this 13 times rule still holds good.

You can expect between 2200-2400 candidates to qualify the IAS Mains 2018 and receive a call for the personality test (Interview).

To all the successful the candidates our best wishes for qualifying for the Mains and to those candidates who couldn’t qualify this year try harder and prepare better so your roll number figures in the list next year. And never give up hope.
